AWAKENING THE SPIRIT WITHIN
We walk this planet as human beings, many of us unaware that we are so much more. Over the course of the last decades, an awaking has been taking place. A spiritual awakening. Often personal trauma, disease, financial loss and troubled relationships are a trigger. On a global front there have been various other catalysts, and the Corona Virus, I believe, is yet another. Human beings are being forced to address their own mortality and are losing family members and friends to this pandemic. We are being forced to re-evaluate our lives, our values, that which we hold dear to us and our future.
It’s when we are pushed to breaking point or forced to re-evaluate life, that we then look for the deeper meaning to life. We ask ourselves the questions: Have we lived a fulfilling life, established our purpose, given back to others and experienced love and all its elements? Are we wasting our time here or are we making the most of every opportunity? Are we compassionate, respectful and caring? If given a second chance, if we survive this pandemic, how would we do better? What would we do with the rest of our lives? Would we just go back to the same old same old or would we make change for the better? Would we pursue our dreams? Do things that enrich the heart? An opportunity presents, are you the one to make it happen for yourself, or let this opportunity pass?
When we get to that place in our heart, where we know there is so much more to life, where we experience a glimpse of what a spiritual awakening is all about, that is when we are hooked. We want to experience more. We want to learn more. It’s exciting because it ignites a flame within, that cannot be extinguished. It’s like a drug, you have a taste of it and you long for more. It creates a hunger within to learn more, experience more. Once you experience it, it is truly fulfilling on a whole new level.
The journey is an individual one. The direction in which you head is totally up to you and you might change your course many a time. Learn to trust your inner guidance system and you will not be led astray. A book might fall off a shelf, you might unexpectedly bump into someone who will coincidentally share something that sets you on the right course. In validation, every time you glance at the time it’s 11.11 or you might see 33, 333 or other familiar numbers everywhere you go. A succession of love hearts, dragonflies, angel wings or other signs may appear to you throughout your day. All signs are unique to the individual. The signs, validation that you are on the journey. It’s those subtleties, that speak louder than words. The coincidences that are clearly not a coincidence. They will be the guiding force that you build a relationship with, that which you learn to trust.
There are those who have walked this path for many years, gained valuable knowledge and are in a position to pass it on. Everyone is at difference stages, again it comes down to the individual. There are many avenues to take. Follow the path that makes your heart sing, whatever it is that takes your fancy. You will be drawn to it, you will know. Your journey’s direction will change over the course of time, as you learn more, meet new people, and share your experiences. The old will fall away. You won’t look back because the new, the exciting lies ahead. It’s important to remain ever present. Your ability to remain in the present will set the scene for the future.
For now, just take steps, tiny steps if needed, in the direction that you are drawn. The rest will unfold naturally. There is nothing to fear. Love will be your driving force. For now, just trust that you are safe, protected, loved and guided. For that is the truth.
